2016 Celebration of Literary Arts Festival features DMACC student writers

On Monday April 4, winners of the district-wide creative writing contest were invited to Beaverdale Books to perform a public reading of their writing. In addition to reading their work for the packed bookstore, each winning student was awarded a scholarship or cash prize. They also all had the opportunity to meet with one of the national writers and discuss his or her writing.

In February, DMACC students submitted their writing for a the contest. The winning writers were decided in March and those writers were published in DMACC’s Literary Magazine Expressions 2016. Free copies of this magazine are on tables around Building 2 for students to enjoy.
